WAR IN RUFUS GIWA POLYTECHNIC, OWO
Yesterday there was a serious fuse between the police and Rufus Giwa students, as they protest
following the killing of a female student who was accidentally knocked down by a police vehicle.
Report reaching Eddywills from one of the student of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, told Eddywills
that," when the accident happened the Police ran off without helping the student get medical help," this act of negligence by the police prompted the students into protesting.
The police in their part opened fire against the protesting students, some of the students where badly injured while others have been confirmed dead by gun fire. Report also says that the police are feeding the media a different story of the actual happenings.
The State governor has asked the student to go home as the school is now on strike following the incident.
