Adolescents enthusiasm of living their dreams.
Nurturing talents, The Playing field.
school then, she sprouted a gospel band on campus, she loved lights and entertainment. I reminded her of those eventful days where we would wait back to watch her rehearse and pay what we claimed then as ‘steep tickets’ to gaze at her performance,
Morenike was so shy about going back to the music line, she was particularly bothered about what people would say. ‘Why the sudden change’ was what lingered fervently in her mind.
I encouraged her to start up a demo, and then later a full debut album, it was quite promising to know that she still had her groove with the choir in her church, so it wasn’t going to be an entirely new beginning. Everyone has a distinct talent inside your inner person, you can put in your best at every likable leisure pursuit, skill or endowment as long as you ardently find it interesting and receptive even at your most unpleasant disposition. When walking around the main streets of Lagos, I basically perceived dissatisfied and unpredictable faces, some appear gloomy, busy and hurriedly displays of quick acts even in their tailored attires and Porsche cars.
Every living being has the vision to inspire and be inspired. Ascribe fun at your tailored God given talents even when pleasantries are aired on a rocky road, be sure to find an interesting and worthwhile ride.
Most youths in our society find it quite challenging keeping at it. While growing up,they were at some point shielded from their ideal distinct likes, and they linger on a pasture of anticipation of what their parents expect them to be. Oooh! Good old likes’ of doctors, engineers, and lawyers, spare me a good number or few. This outgrows and inhibits a cumulative form of discomfort that practically leaves them no choice, but an ignite notion. ‘They say this is where we can be more respected in our society’. Who says you can’t be far more esteemed at painting, make-over photography fashion etc. Growing up was quite a fascinating adventure for me, tales for me are exceptional lessons, an amazing neighbor called Rakiya, a childhood friend, as a matter of facts loved planting flowers, she would usually come around with her mothers’ shoot plants when she and her family visited and ask for butter cups, Rakiya will smartly walk outside the house and rub dirt into the butter cups, I saw it as dirty play and I would laugh at the way she would soil her clothes. Though her mother had a small garden around their home, but I still saw it as a dimwitted thing to do. In earnest sense, Rakiya built the planting habit, her parents adversely wanted her to be a medical doctor and she was strongly against that school of thought, Rakiya barely made a good grade at medical school and even when she worked as a medical consultant in a private hospital, she still trained with a horticulturist as she confided. Today, my prejudice on the dim-witted butter cup was a mere fallacy, as she has virtually engaged in major beautification on environmental sciences. Rakiya plans to settle for her flower saga, her parents eventually took to believing in her childhood fantasy. As they observed that it had fetched her major source of empowerment for herself and others.
We do have quite a number of us who were not able to realize our potentials early enough and we wither on the acclaimed noble. Another thing with talents is that it practically helps to re-discover the real you! Are you an orator, do you like to publicly redress issues or major concerns around you. You could anchor a talk show or affix yourself to where you can affordably translate an impact.
There are amazing results of nurtured talents and there are several clandestine individuals particularly Nigerians who have been quite abrupt to align with these capable facts. Even when you find it most discouraging, your ardours about your flamboyance would keep you going.
Feel good about budding your flair, network your flow at developing them efficiently. It could be the only rhythm that the world cares to listen!
